FAQs

  • Participants in Intramural Sports at Kennesaw State are either students that are currently enrolled in at least one degree-seeking credit that have paid their Sports and Recreation fee or have a Faculty/Staff Sports and Recreation membership.  For full eligibility details, please review the eligibility section in the Intramural Participant Handbook.

  • Intramural Sports is a recreational program that encourages participation of any skill level.  Anyone that is eligible and is interested in participation can join!

  • Most of the Intramural Sports program is funded by a portion of the Sports and Recreation student fees.  Students are not required to pay for a team to be created. However if a team forfeits during the regular season a fee will be charged to the team captain at the conclusion of the season. The amount of the fee is dependent upon the style of the sport.
  • Practices or try-outs are not mandated nor scheduled by the program.  These can be done at the team’s discretion. The Intramural Sports program is responsible for scheduling the games for all created teams within a sport.
  • Intramural Sports are held on both the Kennesaw and Marietta Campuses at various locations.  There are also some off-campus venues used that can facilitate a sport more efficiently, such as Bowling.  When teams register, they choose what campus they play on, what day of the week, and what time of the day games are scheduled.
  • Participants may choose to play on one Men’s or Women’s team and one CoRec team in a given sport.  Playing for multiple Men’s, Women’s, or CoRec teams wihtin the same sport may result in team forfeiture and suspension.
